Cartoon Therapy — Character 2D animation
A visual novel where cartoon characters attend therapy. We brought its scenes to life through 2D character animation, working from rough animation through to final color.
About the project
Cartoon Therapy is a visual novel centered on conversations, emotions and character reactions within a therapeutic space. In this project, facial expressions and emotional acting were key to supporting the narrative.
We created 2D character animation with a focus on acting, expressiveness and narrative clarity. Our work covered the full animation process, from rough animation to final color.
From Rough to Final
Each character was animated in stages, starting with rough animation to define movement and timing, and progressing toward the final finish with clean linework and color.
This process shows how the initial intention behind each emotion evolves into an expressive, clear animation ready to be integrated into the project.
